Worked calculation example
A 5 m by 4 m slab that is 0.1 m thick has a geometric volume of 2 m³. A 7% allowance increases the planning quantity to about 2.14 m³.

Actual thickness
Uneven ground or formwork can increase volume beyond the drawing dimensions.
Dry materials
Wet concrete volume is not the same as simply adding dry ingredient volumes.

Cement content, aggregate grading and reinforcement depend on engineering requirements.
