Editorial and calculation policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

Our objective is to publish working calculators that help people understand a decision—not pages created only to target a search phrase.

Tool selection

We prioritise practical questions with clear inputs and useful outputs, especially where Pakistan-specific information is difficult to compare. Search interest may guide selection, but a page must provide functional and educational value.

Minimum publication standard

Each calculator must include a clear purpose, usable inputs, result explanation, formula, worked example, factors affecting accuracy, limitations, frequently asked questions, metadata and relevant internal links. Automated checks prevent incomplete calculator pages from passing the production build.

Research and sources

Official authorities, laws, regulated providers, manufacturer documentation and other primary sources are preferred. Secondary sources may help discover a topic but should not replace an available authoritative source. Frequently changing rates are dated and made editable where practical.

AI assistance

AI may assist with research structure, drafting and code. It is not treated as an authority or evidence of personal experience. AI-assisted work is reviewed for usefulness, consistency and disclosed limitations before publication.

Calculation testing

Formulas are checked using manual examples and normal, zero, boundary and unusually large inputs. Conditional cases—such as insufficient debt payments or invalid contribution margins—must display understandable outcomes instead of misleading numbers.

Reviews and buying guidance

We never describe a product as personally tested unless it was actually tested. Otherwise, content is an editorial assessment based on identified specifications, benchmarks and sources. Commercial relationships must be disclosed and cannot purchase a favourable result.

Updates and corrections

Material formula, rate, methodology and conclusion changes receive a new review date. Confirmed errors are corrected as soon as reasonably practical. Readers can report an issue through the contact page with reproducible inputs.
