Formula and methodology
Seconds = file size in GB × 8,000 ÷ connection speed in Mbps ÷ efficiency. Eight bits equal one byte.
Worked calculation example
A 20 GB game contains roughly 160,000 megabits. On a 50 Mbps connection at 90% practical efficiency, it takes about 59 minutes.
